Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your email address and display name when you create an account, as well as content you add to your wishlists and events.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Enable wishlist sharing and gift reservation features
  • Send you transactional emails related to your account
  • Respond to your comments and questions

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. When you share a wishlist link, the content of that wishlist becomes visible to anyone with the link.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored in the European Union.

5. Cookies

We use cookies solely for authentication purposes (to keep you logged in). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to or restrict our processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@letmewish.com.

7. Deleting Your Account and Your Data

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, without asking us first. Three steps:

  1. Sign in to letmewish and open Settings from the menu.
  2. Scroll down to Account actions and choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

Deletion is immediate and permanent, and there is no way to undo it or recover the data afterwards. It removes your account and sign-in details, your profile, all of your wishlists, gifts and events, the gifts you reserved on other people's lists, and every image you uploaded.

If you sign in with Facebook, the steps above also delete everything we received from Facebook and end the connection between the two accounts. Removing letmewish from your Facebook settings only cuts that connection, it does not delete your account here, so please use the steps above.

One thing those steps cannot reach: if you ever reserved a gift as a guest, without being signed in, that reservation lives on somebody else's wishlist and stays there. Write to us and we will remove your name and email address from it.

If you cannot sign in, email hello@letmewish.com from the address on your account and we will delete the account for you within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Once you delete your account, the data is removed as described in section 7.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page.
